Many nurses died as heroes, risking their own lives to help other lives of the injured soldiers fighting in the war. Being at their aid gave impressive examples of what women did in these difficult times.

Political Change.
This Canadian operation was an important success in history. The capture of Vimy was more than an important battle field victory. Led, planned and fought by Canada ENTIRELY on its own. This battle earned a reputation for Canada and contributed to its self identity. -
Political Change.
The 1917 conscription debate was one of the controversial and divisive in Canadian political history. Many farmers, unionized workers, non-British immigrants, and other Canadians (Francophone), were against this. While English Canadians mostly supported it. -
Economic Change.
Technology and lifestyles advanced during 1920. Inventions like the radio, washing machine, electric toaster, telephone, cars, hairdryers. Changing entertainment and transportation drastically throughout the years like in the present time. -
Social Change.
Residential Schools were established to assimilate Aboriginals into Euro-Canadian culture. This disrupted thousands of lives and communities among Aboriginal people. Stripping them away from their culture, beliefs, and religion. -
Economic Change
Dr Fredrick G Banting discovery was a milestone in Canada's medical history. Without him, thousands of people would've been dead. If he hadn’t made this discovery. Many people would continue to suffer from diabetes.

Political Change.
This legal change was fought for many years by a group called “The Famous Five” This meant women would have rights not only just men.
This was the biggest accomplishment yet, meaning women could partake in stuff equally like the men. Like being able to be appointed to the senate. -
Social Change.
The British passed a law known as the Statue of Westminster.
Meaning Britain could no longer make laws for former colonies. Canada was taking its big step in becoming independent.
