France declared war on surrounding countries
The King and queen could see how unhappy and starving their people were. And fearing their size and capabilty to revolt, the king was despreat for a soultion. Declaring war on the surrounding countries was the solution that he came up with.
    Transition:
The people of France did not, however, see the kings efforts as honorable. Then the king fearing for his life, fled france with his wife hoping to escape death from the gallows
  • Pesants revolt and put the king into house arrest

Pesants revolt and put the king into house arrest
The people of France saw the king trying to escape as giving up the throne. This gave cause to the people to make a new goverment that gave no power to the king. Along with a new goverment they decied not to kill the king and queen but instead put them underhouse arrest.
    Transition:
The French were desprate for a new goverment that had some sort of stability and wouldnt fail in a year.
  • France had a number of diffrent goverments that never worked

France had a number of diffrent goverments that never worked
One of the many unjust aspects of the French Revolution was the number of diffrent goverments that were put in place. The French started out as a monoarchy, went throught many diffrenct forms of goverment and then ened right back where they started as a monoarchy. The thing that started the revolution and led the people to revolt was the ending product of the revolution.
    Transition:
Thousands of people were killed because of one of the goverment that was put into place called The Terror.
  • The Terror

    The Terror
The Terror is another reason the French Revolution was unjust. The Terror was originally supposed to be a social justice system that would help the people in any way that it could. But it ened up instead being the cause of tens of thousands of deaths by the gallows. Anyone who was cause of suspicion about not being loyal would be killed.
    Transition:
By this time there was no longer a monoarchy and the king and queen were both conciterd regular people just like everyone else during this time.
  • The KIng and Queen are KIlled

The KIng and Queen are KIlled
The King and Queen were both unjustly killed. The King may have had a trial, but that didnt make it any less unjust. The vote to send him to the gallows was unanimous and anyone who voted for him to live would more than likely be sent to the gallows aswell. The queens death was even more unjustified, she was put on tiral with 1600 other people who were under suspicion of not being loyal to the goverment.
    Transistion:
This demanded for a new goverment for the French to build agian.
  • Last attempt at at democratic goverment

Last attempt at at democratic goverment
As a last attempt to from a goverment that would be stable and actually work. The French anointed three men to rule France and have the power be spilt between them equally.
    Transition:
This however did not go over well with a well liked, popular and power hungry general named Napoleon.
  • Napolen declares dictatorship over Europe

    Napolen declares dictatorship over Europe
The French Revolution in a way came to close when Napoleon declared him self Emperor over all of France, leaving France right back where it started with a monoarchy. The French Revolution was unjust beucase nothing had changed and the death toll was way to high.
