Sir John A MacDonald was born in Glasgow, Scotland on Janurary 11th 1815. He was the first prime minister of Canada and served as one for 19 years. He died on June 6th 1891.

Alexander was born in Scotland on Jan. 28th 1822. He was the second prime minister of Canada. He served as one from 1873 to 1878. He died April 17, 1892.

Wilfred Laurier was born in Canada East on Nov 20th 1841. He was the seventh prime minister of Canada and served as one from 1896 to 1911. He died on Feb. 17 1919.

One of the many accomplishments of MacDonald's was that he helped bring the provinces of Upper and lower Canada, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick together in 1867 to form Canada.
