    French and Indian War was part of the Seven Years' war.
    It was between the French and Indian allies vs, British and British-American and Indian allies. Another name for it is Conquest War in Quebec and Ontario

    The whole idea of the proclamation was to organize what Britain
    had won from the French and Indian War/Seven Years' War.
  • Red River Establish Rupert's Land

    Red River Establish Rupert's Land
    This was the time when the Red River settled down in Canada and was granted 300,000 square kilometres (120,000 sq mi) of land. Although most of it went to Canada, some of the land did go to the States.

    The colonies in Canada are renamed into the 'Dominion of Canada'. It started out as Quebec, Ontario, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick with Sir John A. Macdonald as their first prime minister.

    In 1870's, the european demand bison hide and they were also use for meat, this caused the bison to be almost extint. When this happened the First Nation were forced to buy copper kettles and steel utensils. Many Metis left Manitoba to move more Northwest.

    The Indian Act reserves land of First Nation and takes their right to vote, but are also expected to pay all there taxes.
  • Treaty #6

    This treaty was responsable for both central Alberta's and Saskatchewan's First Nation health and supplies. Their agreement was to be supported by the crown.

    These schools were to assimilate Aboriginal peoples in Canada into European-Canadian society.

    In 1905 Alberta and saskatchewan had join Canada's confederation
  • Canada's Act

    This act came form the Parliament of the United Kingdom which provided the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
  • Recognizing the People of Canada

    During this time Canada officially recognized the Northwest Territories that their language is in addition along with English and French, later on Yukon follows in in 1988.
  • Yukon agrees

    Yukon's First Nation agreed with Canada on their land claims and also agrees to self-government.
  • Forming Nunavut

    Nunavut was formed through the Nunavut Act and the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement Act. It was once part of the northeast side of the Northwest Territories. Since the formation its had a consensus government; In a consensus government.
  • Indian Act 2000

    The Indian Act let band members living off the reserve vote in band elections and also in referendums.
