    I loved doing gymnastics and it was something that I continued to do all the way up until I started college. As a child this was a big example of intrinsic motivation for me.

    I started learning french in sixth grade.
  • Psychosocial-Sixth grade camp

    I went to sixth grade camp and used conventional moral reasoning. I was very afraid to try to go on the zip line. My friends all did it and said it was so much fun. After seeing them try it I thought it could not be that bad and did it myself and loved it.

    I started taking guitar lessons when I was elven and when I would practice I really started to show selective attention.

    I decided that I needed to start watching what I eat and drink more, so I stopped drinking pop.

    I reached indentity achevement by deciding to join marching band. I originally did not do it as a freshman in High School because I was into the thought that I was not going to be a "band geek." (Identity versus role confusion)
  • Cognitive-Started Learning to Drive

    I started the first segment of driver's education.

    Sterotype threat-I was very afraid of starting college and what others would think of me as I always had a fear of being judged.
  • Biosocial- Got a gym membership

    I made a commitment to myself that to go to the gym at least once a week and keep my weight and health under control. (set point)
  • Psychosocial-Cohabitation

    Goal- To move in with my boyfriend and have plans to get married.

  • Biosocial-Have a baby

    Goal- To have my first child with hopes of having a girl.
  • Cognitive-Getting certified to do CAT scans

    Goal-To go back to school after being a radiology technician to get certified to do CAT scans along with X-rays.
  • Biosocial- Continue to ride my bike

    My Mom and my dance teacher both continue to go on bike rides and keep in shape. I want to have a goal to be like them and to keep doing this for as long as I possibly can.
  • Cognitive- Take a cake decorating class

    Although this may seem like an odd goal, after working at Michaels I have seen many participate in the cake decorating classes and they always seem to enjoy it and learn so much from it. This would be a great way for me to have fun and learn something new.
  • Psychosocial- Volunteer at the animal shelter

    I have always loved animals and want something to do when I am older to stay invovled in the community and to having something to do when I can no longer work.
