    On August,6/1945 the americans gave an ultimatum to Japan. They refused to surrender, so they dropped codename manhattan project also known as the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima. The power killed innocent men, women, and children. Over 135 000 civilans were killed.

    On this day canada gained another province with peace rather than by force. Shortly after ww2 the people voted if they wanted Newfoundland to join. It came very close it was 52% to 48% giving canada 10 provinces and 3 territories.

    On this day the organization known as NATO was formed to counter against the Soviet Union since they were stronger in numbers. It is also a mutual defense agreement where if one member is attacked by an external force all countries would go to war until the threat would be resolved. The national HQ is located in Belgium and includes countries from all over the world

    On this event americans found out that the Soviets were stockpiling weapon in Cuba with nuclear capabilities. The range of the missiles went all the way up to canada and had the capability to kill milions without any warning. The americans setup a naval blockade not letting anymore supplies come to Cuba. The americans demanded the disarming of all weapons and transporting them back to Soviet Union.

    This day the president of the United States was killed by Lee Harvy Oswald in Dallas,Texas. The president was driving throught Dealey Plaza when he was shot from the sixth floor of the school book depository. Later the shooter was shot by Jack Ruby when being escorted by the police to county jail.

The americans had lost the war and their cause had been crushed the south was taken over then merged to make a vietnam unified under communisim to this day. This was one of the largest military failures for the american. when the communist north took over the south the americans were receiving critisim from everyone. There were many casualties that were not needed.

    The Creation of Bill 101
    Bill 101 was introduced for Quebec to diminish the population of the english. This made it all children had to attend French schools unless your parent attended an English school. This basically made it so the French would own the province. Then later the Québécois would come into power making English obsolete in the province
  • The Official Language Act

    This act made it so French is the official and only language in Quebec. It was first introduced by the Québécois to extinguish the English language and it's speakers. They let this bill pass by giving the 85% of French speakers in Quebec fear or being taken over by the minority of English.
