My Timeline

  • Prenatal Development and Birth

Helen and Glenn Murphy make a new family member: Amanda Marie Murphy: 7lbs 11oz and 21 inches long.
  • First Two Years: Biosocial Development

I was born with blonde hair and blue eyes. I slept through the night, I began to crawl, walk, and talk through this stage. I was a healthy baby.
  • First Two Years: Cognitive Development

I went to bed kind of late because my mom worked all day so that was her time to spend with me, I would usually fall asleep with her on the couch. I used to copy my cousin and everything she did.
  • First Two Years: Psychosocial Development

I was an only child until I turned 7 years old. My dad was home with me during the day because he worked midnights and my mom was home with me at night because she worked during the day. My aunt Margaret also watched me a lot where I got to spend time with my cousin Kristina.
  • Early Childhood: Biosocial Development

I was a picky eater at this stage, my dad took me to McDonald’s everyday and I would always get chicken nuggets. I was tall for a girl and skinny like my dad. I started dance classes at age 4.
  • Early Childhood: Cognitive Development

I had a bunch of Barbies probably way more than I needed and I played with them all the time, I even used to make the little boy Matt across the street play with me.
  • Early Childhood: Psychosocial Development

I went to a personal daycare, the caregivers name was Gloria. This was like preschool for me she played with me and gave me one on one attention and taught me a lot. M yparents were very nurturing they gave me rules to follow but also explained why those rules were in place. I respected my parents and listened.
  • Middle Childhood: Biosocial Development

I started Kindergarten August of 1996 at 5 years old. I was tall for a girl, taller then most of the boys throughout this stage. I still took dance classes however; I was taking tap, jazz, and ballet now. I mostly played outside or with my Barbies.
  • Middle Childhood: Cognitive Development

I did well in school but I lacked in the comprehension part of English so I had to do an extra program for reading and comprehension. I eventually caught up with everyone else in school. I enjoyed all my teachers; I can still remember each of their names to this day.
  • Middle Childhood: Psychosocial Development

My best friend through this stage was the little boy across the street; Matt. Everyone thought we were twins we went and did everything together. I still keep in touch with him to this day! I had a lot of other friends, especially from dance I wasn’t a shy kid, I talked to everyone. My parents have always been together.
  • Adolescence: Biosocial Development

During this stage I was going through puberty I was taller than most of the boys in 6th grade until we got to 8th grade, then they caught up. My friends changed a lot through out this period, I never did drugs or smoked, I tried alcohol a few times.
  • Adolescence: Cognitive Development

During this time I tended to care more about what people thought of me and I tried not to judge people before I got to know them. My attitude was probably really strong during this time.
  • Adolescence: Psychosocial Development

I made my confirmation in church during 9th grade. I graduated high school June 5th 2009. I had a lot of friends and a steady boyfriend at this time.
  • Emerging Adulthood: Biosocial Development

This is the current stage im in; I am 21 years old. I am very healthy, I try to eat right and I stay active. I am engaged and have a few close friends but more acquaintances than anything.
  • Emerging Adulthood: Cognitive Development

Right now I am a full time student at Schoolcraft College, I am going to school for nursing. I hope to transfer to Eastern next fall and get my bachelors in nursing.
  • Emerging Adulthood: Psychosocial Development

Right now I am currently engaged and we had our first child June 28th, 2012! I am working at a welding and manufacturing company called Royal Arc, I am the training coordinator.
  • Adulthood: Biosocial Development

I have pretty bad eye sight which will probably get worse over the years, my hearing will probably also get worse considering both my parents have bad hearing. My health should be maintained and I should stay pretty healthy.
  • Adulthood: Cognitive Development

Hopefully by this time I will be done with school and in my career. Hopefully as I age my intellectual skills will grow.
  • Adulthood: Psychosocial Development

I hope by this time I will have more children as I am watching my children grow and my family will be stable and have good relationships.
  • Late Adulthood: Biosocial Development

In my late adult hood years I want to be healthy, active, and independent. My hearing and vision will be getting worse. I will maintain a healthy diet to help live a long healthy life.
  • Late Adulthood: Cognitive Development

Thinking and processing information is slower. I will become wise from all of my life experiences. Memory loss can occur during these years.
  • Late Adulthood: Psychosocial Development

I hopefully will be retired and able to spend time with my spouse; hopefully I will have grandchildren on the way and watch them grow.
  • Death and Dying

Based off the calculator it says I will live to be 96 years old. If I change certain habits or inherit certain things I may live longer or shorter. However, I should have lived a happy and pretty healthy life.
