    The Parliament of England was established in 1241. This was the beggining of the "competition" for the monarchy, they were no longer the only ones making the decisions. The Parliament was estbalished to help the monarchy make the official decisions. In the end the monarchy took over the power of the monarch.

In the end he English civil War led to nothing but more conflicts between the two.

Although he supported Parliament he acted as an individual, monarch like. He was one who made sure that Charles I was executed. In addition he was against the Royalists and the Confederates.

    In February of 1689 Mary II and William III took their positions in the English Parliament. Together they signed te English Bill of Rights ensuring that no monarchy could have complete power over everyting. In addition, their reign signified the end of the Glorious Revolution.

They could not question, protest, go against, or even create their own laws. The Parliament wrote the English Bill of Rights with the intention of ending monarchy. It signified the end of a method of rule for England.
