    Israel invades Lebanon which starts the Lebanon War in 1982. It lasted 11 months.

  • Israel attacks West Beirut.

    The Israeli president is asassinated nd Israel enters West Beirut. There, the Phalangist militia kills thousands of Palestinians. US, French and Italian peacekeeping troops arrive.

  • Lebanon and Israel sign a peace agreement

  • A suicide attack is placed on the US embassy

    It kills 63 people in April, then in October another one is on the headquarters of the peacekeepers, which kills 299 people alltogether.

  • US troops leave in 1984.
