I have decided to move to America, so I can have more land, and make more money. I can no longer afford the high prices of land here in Scotland.

Arrives at Ellis Island

May 20, 1901

I arrived at Ellis Island on May 20th,1901. It was easy for me to understand them speak unlike others that speak different languages.

Arrives in Boston, Massachusetts

Jun 9, 1901

On June 9, 1901, I arrived in Boston. I plan on getting a job until I have enough money to make my long journey West to get my land.

Particpates in the land race, gets land

Nov 30, 1903

I participated in the race for land and retrieved a great land that I can grow all of my crops on, and build my own house i can live in.

Moves West

Dec 22, 1903

I have finally earned enough money to be able to move West. I plan on buying a horse and participating in the land race.

Builds house and starts to grow crops

Sep 22, 1904

I finished building my house and I am starting to plant my zucchini and radish seeds. Te land is just what I wanted and is perfect for growing these crops
