The Assasination
Franz Ferdinand, Archduke of Austria and his wife Sophie are assassinated in Sarajevo by young Serbian nationalist Gavrillo Pricip. This is an important part in our history because this was the spark that started wrold war 1 -
WW1 Begins
The great war officialy begins This is an important event in our history because thousands of canadian lives were lost -
The battle of Vimy Ridge
Vimy was the most succesfull Canadian battle fought in WW1.
Canadian troops studied the ridge and built a scale model of Vimy to practise on. Every soldier was issued a map so they knew where all the MG placements were. This is a proudly important event in Canadian history because It was a very succesfull operation. -
End of WW1
The End of the war. Many Canadian lives lost. -
The Stock Market Crash
The crashing of the north american stock market causes Canada and other countries to fall into a Great Depression. -
WW2
Canada declares war on Nazi Germany ultimately ending the depression.
