    Relation to progress/decline: Created pride as they became close with Newfoundland. Reinforced that they were a welcoming country. Created national pride to accept another nation which is why it's a +2.
    Country they wanted: Yes, they weren't forced and accepted on their terms. Increased their territory and able to spread power and influence.

    What Happened:
    -First Nations had to give up their Indian status to vote
    -*Parliamentary committee recommends First Nations be fully enfranchised
    -Non-status vote federally 1950 and status vote 1960
    Relation to progress/decline: First Nations boycotted enfranchisement which government recognized. Allowed more groups of people to vote which is why I'd give it a +2.
    Country they wanted: They recognized status Indians should have a say. Made them keep their religion as well as having a voice.

    *Privy Council investigated a new flag design which in 1925 with the Parliamentary Committee accepting thousands of designs in 1946. It was voted and selected in 1964 and officially adopted in 1965.
    Relation to progress/decline: United Canada under one flag which was there own and furthered their independence by creating a new identity which is why it's a +2.
    Country they wanted: Yes, Canadians created it, powerful symbol and people believed it was good for the country

    Relation progress/decline: Event generated a lot of tourist income for the Canadian economy. Unified Canadians from all across the country creating strong social relations and slightly mitigated political tensions between Quebec which is why I'd give it a +1.
    Country they wanted: Yes, Canadians made money for the economy. They unified by rallying during the event.

    Country they wanted: No, tarnished their reputation, divided the nation and ruined pride by taking away their safety and security.

    Relation to progress/decline: Known as champions creating pride for the sport they made. Expanded the game which showed multiculturalism. Thousands watched the series which is why its +2.
    Country they wanted: Yes, globalized the sport and brought many people together.

    Relation to progress/decline: Furthered identity as it showed they accept every type of race. Gave them rights they deserved which is why I'd give it a +1.
    Country they wanted: Canadians created the country they wanted by letting more ethnicities into the country and ended up supporting the idea of multiculturalism after years of racial discrimination.

    Relation to progress/decline: Quebec has wanted separation it didn't unify the country. Divided them and gave a weaker identity with provinces trying to leave Canada which is why it's a -2.
    Country they wanted: No, Quebec's proposal of sovereignty made Canada lose identity, never wanted separation.

    Country they wanted: Yes, it showed independence that Canadians should be proud to make. Gave a stronger identity as the British anthem was first used.
