Developmental Timeline

  • Prenatal Care

    During this time I was developing into a person and my mother was satying healthy. She wanted to saty healthy so I could be as strong aspossible.

  • Birth

    I was born and weigh 10 pounds.
  • Biosocial Development

    Gained weight, grew taller, and my brain size grew. I stopped sleeping so much and started to respond to stimuli.
  • Cognitive Development

    I stared to understand the differences between languages, and objects, as well as their permanence. I played games like peek-a-boo, and hide and seek. I babbled and tried to learn as many words as possible.
  • Psychosocial Development

    I started to show my emotions such as being angry or happy. I was mostly sassy and loved the word no. I also became more self aware, and feel emotions such as fear or pride. I was very attached to my father and only allowed him to feed me.
  • Early Childhood Biosocial

    I loved to play outside and ride my bike all over my neighborhood. I broke bones, and learned from my mistakes. I also grew quite a bit to one of the tallest in my school.
  • Early Childhood Cognitive development

    I was very self absorbed and could not put myself in someone elses shoes yet. I was learning how to become a better speaker and expanded my vocabulary from listening to the people around me. I went to preschool, and kindergarten during this time.
  • Early Childhood Psychosocial Development

    During my early childhood my parents got a divorce and I felt incredibly guilty for this eventhough they told me not to. I loved going to my friends houses, having sleep overs, and telling eachother secrets. I was involved in schoolplays as well as plays in my community.
  • Middle Childhood Biosocial Development

    School was becoming more of a challenge, and the tests were not so ealy anymore. I usually took home good grades and as I got older they really picked up.
  • Middle Childhood Cognitive Development

    I began to be less egocentric and began to put others before myself such as my little brother. I did a lot of reading in school which helped me to expand my vocabulary.
  • Middle Childhood Psychosocial Development

    I enjoyed being away from my parents and my house. I would spend time at my neighborhood pool and friends houses. My siblings played with me and we taught eachother things because of our different ages and experiences. We loved to compete and laugh with eachother.
  • Adolescence Cognitive Development

    I thought I was the coolest person in school, but I was also very jealous of someother girls. Making new friends was hard at times but I would just try to make people laugh. Having a cell phone made it easier to connect with my friends. Highschool I began to think more about my future and actually cared about what I was learning.
  • Adolescence Psychosocial Development

    I was really worried about what I wanted to do with my future. I was struggling to wrap my head around picking something to do for the rest of my life. I went to a lot of youth groups with my friends because I thought I needed to be a part of something. I never went back and insted focused on playing sports and becoming very good at them. I had a great relationship with my family. I got along well with all of my teachers. I did not fall into peer pressure.
  • Adolescence Bioscocial Development

    Puberty.... My period started, I was growing like crazy, I gained weight. It was a difficult time. I was uncomfortable with my body. Boys started to become more interesting, and I had several boyfriends. I slept all day and night. It middle school and an awkward time.
  • Emerging Adulthood Biosocial Development

    I was heavily involved in sports and I was getting scholarships in the mail for Track and field and swimming. I started to lose weight and eat healthier. I was sexually active. Stress was huge in my life beause I was worried about college and just doing well in school. I traveled to Europe and grew a lot as a person there.
  • Emerging Adulthood Cognitive Development

    I was really great at managing my time and making sure everything that needed to be done was done. I was realisict with myself and the outcomes I created. Religion was never really interesting to me, and I still don;t understand it. College helped me grow and really develop my own personalitly.
  • Emerging Adulthood Psychosocial Development

    I felt a lot older and sure of myself as a person. I left a university and came to Schoolcraft. I stoped worrying so much and started to focus on whats to come and go with the flow. I mad a lot of new friends and they allowed me to grow as well. Have a long term boyfriend of two years and the talk of moving out together is big. We also are attached at the hip and spend most of our time together. Have two jobs and make decent money. Still depend on my parents for some of my food and shelter.
  • Adulthood Biosocial Development

    I will be active and eat well to set a great example for the people around me and myself. I will take classes and read books to keep my brain healthy. I will be preparing to have children and doing everything possible to be ready.
  • Adulthood Cognitive Development

    I hope to increase my education and continue to develop myself and be the most intelligent person I can be. I will be practicing psychology, and I will see a psychologist if I have stress in my life. I will be raising my children and learning from them as they grow up and go through struggles.
  • Adulthood Psychosocial Development

    I will not experience a midlife crisis I will continue to expand my practice and make more money. I will continue to be close with my family and spend as much time as possible with them. There will be room for all activities in my life. There will be a good balance of work, family, and activities.
  • Late Adulthood Biosocial Development

    Hopefully I will be healthy, and active during my old age. I will g through physical changes in my vision, and overall health. My joints will be worse than they were when I was 20 and I will have to make some changes. Surgery may be a possibility.
  • Late Adulthood Cognitive Development

    I will sleep as much as I can to avoid being sick. Everything in my power will be done to keep my brain healthy. Retirement and reflection will begin to take place and I will settle down in my life. My family and travel will be my only priority.
  • Late Adulthood Psychosocial Development

    I will move to a smaller place I can maintain and get assistance if needed. I will stay active in the community, and with family. I will do whatever I want and do everyday. Hopefully live everyday to its fullest.
  • End of Late Adulthood

    I will die of old age peacefully and will have accomplished everything I wanted. :)
