    As the number of cases continued to rise in China, Canada's health officials began to prepare for this wave of cases. A man in his fifties arrived in Canada from Wuhan, China, being the first travel-related case of the virus. Soon after, his wife caught the virus, being the second Canadian to contract COVID-19.
