    Biosocial: My body size is growing rapidly. My motor skilss are developing, am a very explorative baby. My brain is almost compeletly grown too. Am starting to move around alot, at 14 months i took my first step. Immunizations are up to date.
    Cognitive: I am learning to speak. I begin with saying words that sound like daddadada which then evilve to single syllable words "dada"
    Psychosocial: I have developed emotions and social bonds with my family, i was extremely attached to my Mother.

    I got baptised at my parents church and announciation of my God parents. Psychosocial
  • First Words

    Pronounced my first words "dada". Cognitive and Biosocial
  • First few steps

    At 14 months i took my first steps. Cognitive and Biosocial

    The Play Years

    Biosocial: Still growing but much slower. My parents need to watch over me to avoid accidents and injuries.
    Cognitive: I knw more words now and can demonstrate grammatical knowledge.
    Psychosocial: Some kids in school were mean to me by calling me a dwarf because am short, my parents ensure me that am perfect and am still growing. I am re-assured. I can regulate my emotions. Gender identity concepts start to develop too.

    Enrolled in pre-school. Couldn't wait to go home.
  • Kindergarten

    Started kindergarten, by now i had gotten used to been away from home.
  • Period: to

    Middle Childhood

    Biosocial: Am growing but even more slowly. My brain is starting to have faster reactions and more intelligence. Am not very active, i like to read animal story books.
    Cognitive: I have mastered the basic vocabulary of the Swahili language ( my native language). My information processing and memory concepts have grown. I excel in school classes.
    Psychosocial: Friends are becoming important and the fear of rejection sets in. Friends i still have today were formed.
  • New Brother

    My little was born.
  • Bike Ride

    Got my first bike for christmas and my dad taught me how to ride one for the first time. Fell four times. Biosocial
  • Elementary School

    New experience, started Elementary school. Cognitive and Psychosocial
  • Period: to

    Adolescence

    Biosocial: I leave middle school and move on to high school, i transition fairly well, i also form new friends. Puberty in full effect and a growth spurt happens. It is very important to still take care of myself and eat healthy.
    Cognitive: I am starting to think differently, now using logic. Higher achievements are starting to improve my learning.
    Psychosocial: The search for my identity is developing from experiences.I begin a friendship that evolved into a relationship (first love).

  • New Sister

    New member of the family, my little sister is born
  • High School

    New experience, started high school in a boarding school. Cognitive and Psychosocial.
  • Love

    First love, new, exciting and confusing time in my life. Psychosocial

    Emerging Adulthood

    Biosocial: My body needs to keep up wit good nutrition and healthy habits. I also need to get used to my newly acquired freedom.
    Cognitive: College approaches and i develop more communication and practical skills.
    Psychosocial: My identity is achieved and stronger than ever. Intentions of starting more relationships come about.

  • Employed

    First job, I was now employed for the first time. I worked for a taxation company. Cognitive

    Moved to U.S.A from Nairobi Kenya, culture shock and saw snow for the first time.
  • Started College

    Started college at oakland community college
  • Graduation

    College graduation. Finally a profession as a nurse(LPN). Cognitive and Psychosocial

    Adulthood

    Biosocial: My body is starting to really age and my brain is slowing down. My estrogen levels drop and i can potentially start menopause.
    Cognitive: I have learned about how to take care of myself; waht it really means to be an adult. There are a lot of gains and losses that happen. Some of my abilities will increase and decline within these ages.
    Psychosocial: I have landed a job in the field of which i went to school for. I'm starting to depend on all of my peers.
  • First House

    Buy my first house. Hopely in the next two years, i would be able to own a home.
  • Midlife Crisis

    Experiencing mid-life crisis at 50 years old. Psychosocial
  • Period: to

    Late Adulthood

    Biosocial: Parts of my body are starting to really wear down. My immune system is also starting to decline.I begin participating in extracurricular activities with my children and grandchildren.
    Cognitive: I am retired, so i don't work, but i try to maintain my activity level so old age doesn't affect my memory and or physical level. Dementia could possibly occur.
    Psychosocial: Family and friends are very suppotive and helpful through difficult times.
  • Menopause

    A stage in life that us women dread is finally here. Biosocial
  • Retirement

    I finally get to retire. No more working. Psychosocial
  • Hospice

    Checked into a nursing home and now this is my living arrangement. My whole family visits me frequently. Psychosocial.

    The end. I can potentially live up to the age of 85 years
