    The Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment is deployed to France with the aim of re-enforcing the British Expeditionary Force. They had barely arrived when they were forced to retreat to Dunkirk.
  • Battle Of Brittian Starts

    Between now and the end of October, between 88 and 112 Candian pilots will serve in the RAF.
  • Canada Declares War On Japan

  • The Defence Of Hong Kong

    Canadian C Force takes part, but loses 290 personnel before surrendering with the rest of the allies on Dec 25.
  • The Dieppe Raid Takes Place

    6000 troops, mostly Canadians, land in France. 1000 are killed, and another 2340 are captured. Everything is terrible, but valuble lessons are learned that will be put into effect on D-Day
  • U-Boats Attack Bell Harbour

    Two ore carriers are sunk. Another attack takes place on Nov 2. The pier is hit, making it the only North Amerian location to be directly attacked by the Germans in WWII.
  • U-Boat Topedoes Ship In Cabot Strait

    137 lives are lost when the SS Caribou, a Newfoundland Railway Ferry, sinks.
  • The Invasion Of Sicily

    Allied troops, including many Candians, land in Sicily. The operation is a success!
  • Allied Invasion Of Italy

    The Candians are once again part of the invasion force. The operation is again a success!
  • D-Day

    Candians land at Juno beach, and overcome the second strongest area of resistance. They make the most progress of any involved army.
  • The Battle Of Scheldtcanada

    Canada provides a signifigent contrabution. At the end of the battle, the port of Antwerp is open for Allied shipping.
  • Canadian Forces Liberate The Netherlands

    Commanders-in-chief Johannes Blaskowitz surrenders to General Clarles Foulkes.
  • War In Europe Ends

    This is VE Day. It marks the unconditional surrender of Nazi Germany, and the end of the war in Europe.
