    In Paris the Prisians opened fire and Bastille was killed. He represented years of abuse by his monary.

    Picture 3Rumers spread which caused men and women to revolt. The king fled to versailles. In Paris, women walked 13 miles in the pouring rain and refused to leave until they were given bread. Church was placed under states control. Constitution and monasterires were elimated. The church wasn't happy about this. Constitution of 1791 reflected enlightenment ideas.

    King Louis XVI was killed by the guilleteen and 10 months later his wife was killed by the same way. Their son was sent to like in poverty and died because of harsh conditions .

    Everyone feared for their lives during his reign. He killed 800 people in a typical month by using the guliteen. He was enprisioned and died 2 days later.

    Moderates produced another consitiution, it had 15 men and was very dictorial and weak. Peace was made with Prussia and Spain, but the war with Austria and Great Britain continued. France turned to Napoleon Bonaparte, who was a famous war veteran.
