    FALL OF THE MALI EMPIRE

    The Mali empire began in 1230 and fell in 1600 AD. The Mali empire is very close to the Ghanian empire, and it also had a large amount of gold underneith it. The Mali empire is nowday split up between the countries, Mali, Gambia, Ivory Coast, Niger, Senegal, Mauritania, Guinia, Guinea-Bissau, and Burkina Faso. There are twenty-one known empires of Mali. Mali coountaind three gold mines.

    THE FALL OF THE SONGHAI EMPIRE

    The Songhai empire begun in the year 1340 aand fell in the year 1591. Songhai was one of the shorter lived empire only being arround for appproximatly 150 years. The Songhai empire included cities like timbukto and Gao. Gao was the capital. Timbukto was one of the first universities in the world, and people came from a long way a way to go there. Timbukto is one of the poorest places in africa, and as the sahara dessert is expanding it will eventually be coverd in sand.

    THE FALL OF THE KENEDOUGOU EMPIRE

    The Kenedougou Kingdom started in 1600 and fell in 1898.
    The city fell on may 1st 1998, when the French attacked. Then Kenedougou Kingdom then became a colony of French Sudan. In 1888 the French attacked the Kenedougou Kingdom, and with an army of just 12,000 men they still held the French out.

    THE FALL OF THE BAMANA EMPIRE

    The Bamana empire started in 1712 and fell in 1861. The Bamana empire. The Barmanan Empire is now part of the country Mali. This kingdom included Timbukto, tody Timbukto is one of the poorest countries in the world. The Niger river was the only main river in the empire.

    Ghana came to power in the year 1830, and fell in the year 1235. Ghana was a very rich country, manly because of a massive field of gold right underneith their city. There were many different trading routes going in to Ghana from up north.Because the traders spoke different languges, They set up a silent barter system. A barter system is a trade in which no money is involved. Ghana set up tax system for traders entering the country,
