This was when Emperor Xuanzong began to rule and while he did this he began to expand the territory to Korea, Mongolia, and Tibet. He also created the civil service exam for the people so it would be fair to a certain degree.
Government Power During Tang
The gorvernment soon became more in control of religion and cared about what people had believed in and since then buddhism was said to be destroying things because the country as a whole was turing towards confucianism. The government had had temples destroyed and monastries destroyed about 40,000.
Northern Song Dynasty
Northern Song was Zhao Kuangyin and he was in pretty good control until they made him abdicate. But there structure was not doing to well and so political destruction between the people brought the North Song Dynasty to fall in 1127.
