  • Napoleonic Wars

    The wars were fought during the rule of Napoleon Bonaparte of France. They started right after the French Revolution ended. Napoleon was becoming very powerful in France. The war was between United Kingdom and France. The first war started on May 18, 1803 and the last one ended on November 20, 1815.
  • Battle of Tippecanoe

    The Battle of Tippecanoe was an American victory over First Nations during the Tecumseh's War. The areas witnessing the fighting were the Old Northeast, the region north of the Ohio River and east of Mississippi. The battle was between US and Aboriginal groups.
  • Battle of Queenston Heights

    The battle was fought near the town of Queenston, which is in upper Canada. This battle resulted in a British Victory. The battle started because American forces attempted to create a foothold in Canada. Their goal was to get around the Canadian side of the Niagara River, but they failed, resulting in the British victory.
  • Battle of Beaver Dams

    The Americans, under Lieutenant-Colonel Charles G. Boerstler, were sent from Fort George to destroy a British advanced post. The Americans had a force of 600 infantry and cavalry men. Laura Secord overheard the American plans and Journeyed, with an Iroquois scout, to warn the British about the attack America was planing. With the help of the Iroquois from Caughnawaga and the Grand River, the British were able to compel the Americans to surrender.
  • Battle of the Thames

    This battle was a US victory over British and Indian forces in Ontario. This battle allowed the United States to consolidate its control over the Northwest.
  • Battle of Chippewa

    This battle was won by the US forces. This helped restore the American military prestige. That was about the only thing the Americans got from this battle because their naval support needed to advance to the north and west failed to materialize.
