Relation with Great Britian worsen
Americas ground with Britian became rough in earley 1812. Britian told Americans about how they would continue impressment of our sailors.To add to America's problems Native Americans located in the northwest regen began to attack on frontier settlement. By June Congress had desided they had enough and declared war on Britian. Britian was not in shape for a war though because they still had europe bitting at their neck's. Britian tried to avoid war so they refused to meet America's demand. -

Congress delcares war on Britian
Congress had finally had enough of britian trying to talk over america again. So they desided to declare war. Britian had been impressing American soldiers. Plus by 1814 Britian had shut off all american ports. America had tried to avoid war because of President Jefferson had cut the us military. -
America is not ready for war

In the first day of America's second war with Britian. British ships set up a blockade of the American coast. In 1814 the british navy had 135 warships blockading American ports.By the end britian was able to close off all American ports. -

War hawks had been planing on invading canada.They expected Canadians to welcome the chance to throw off british rule. General William Hull led the invasion of canada. But his plan failed. Britian had captured a good amount of American soldiers. -

In August of 1812 the USS constitution defeated Britans warship guerriere in a fierce grusome battle. in December the year of 1814 a group of federalist had a meeting in Hartford Connecticut.And had suggested that that New England states should withdraw from the Untied states. They had talked about the arriving of the new peace treaty.but unfortunatly with the war the Hardford Convestion ended. Many Americans thought the war of 1812 was the second war of independence. -
