When I was only four years old, I was diagnosed with scoliosis. Little did I know this was going to change my life nine years later.

This is my first experience with the sport that I fell in and out of love with.

This is where everything in my life was turned upside down. This doctors appointment for my scoliosis that I thought would be like all the others, checking x-rays and measuring the curves in my spine turned into tears and calling St. Christopher's' Hospital for Children to make my back brace.

High school hold some of my fondest memories. It is the time that I made my best friends from home who are still in my life today.

For most people this is one of the best experiences. You go out, you meet tons of new fun people, you are on your own, you can choose what to eat, what to do, and whether or not to skip class. But this was probably the hardest year of my life.

I decided to get involved on campus and ended up joining ASA. I found my home away from home, my best friends, met some amazing people, and had some awesome experiences.

This project has made me look back and see how far I've come in these past few years. I'm proud of my progress and I can't wait to see what my future holds!
