    Kenya became a military base for the British in World War 1, from 1914 to 1918, to try and overcome the German colony.

    The Independent Republic of Kenya was ruled by a single-party state by the Kenya African National Union (also known as KANU).

  • The British Took Over in East Africa

    The British Government took over andf claimed most of East Africa, and that set up the East Africa Protectorate.

  • Kenya Gains Independence
