    Born In Copenhagen
March 28th 1998 was the date of my birth. I was born in Copenhagen, Denmark with a lengthy birth. From the perspective of my parents, this was a life altering event for them as even though I was their third child, I was born much later than my older brothers. This had the consequence of my being raised not only by my parents but also by my older brothers. This event was of great significance, obviously for me, but also to my family. This caused a big change, especially for my parents.

  • Moved House and Kindergarden

    Moved House and Kindergarden
On this date i moved away from my childhood home. This was of great significance of me, because at the time it felt like i was moving not only house, but also life. During this summer i also moved Kindergarden. From my parents perspective they like that our house was closer to my kindergarden, but I believe that this change helped me grow as a person as I discovered that I was quite adaptable with new environments and surroundings.
  • First Day Of School

    First Day Of School
This event marked the first day I started school at Johannesskolen. I was surprisingly to my parents not at all that nervous, as seen earlier when i moved kindergarden. This event was significant to me because I met most of my current best friends and people i continue to cherish. This change in my life was also significant as I continued to go to this school for the next 8 years of my life. As a consequence of this event, i was able to make hopefully life long friends.

  • Death of Grandma

    Death of Grandma
The death of my maternal grandmother had a significant impact on my way of thinking. As I was only 8 years old, I did not realize the importance of her death but as I attended the funeral it felt like my whole way of thinking changed because I now understood the fragility of life. As a consequence of this event I vowed to live my life to the fullest and do anything to achieve my goal. This event was perhaps the most important event in my life as it changed me fundamentally as a person.
  • My Brothers Moving Out

    My Brothers Moving Out
During the Summer of 2009 both of my brothers moved out of my house. This was a significant event in my life as I had never gone without my brothers. As I was used to seeing them everyday, it was quite shocking to not seeing them that much anymore. Especially since my oldest brother moved to New York for some time, it became even harder to communicate. My parents were also very sad and constantly worried for them. As a consequence of this change i learned to be on my own which i do appreciate.
  • Moved to Indonesia

    Moved to Indonesia
During the summer, my parents and I moved to Indonesia because my mother wanted to return to her home country. This was an exceedingly significant event to my life and the biggest change I have yet to experience. I did not experience any culture shock of any kind due to already having visited Indonesia more than 10 times throughout my life. This event had the consequence of my distancing myself from all my friends and family in the hope to make new friends. My parents enjoyed moving.
  • Period: to

    MYP at Global Jaya, Indonesia

Schooling in Global Jaya school consisting of my school years from year 8 to year 10.
  • First School Day In Indonesia

    First School Day In Indonesia
During this day I felt more nervous than I had in past experiences where i was in a similar situation, although my friends say that i seemed very comfortable and confident. This event was significant due to the fact that many of these new faces and names i learned were actually going to become my bestfriends or people i care deeply about. The education system itself was also vastly different than what i was used to but i believe i managed to adapt quickly to this change.
  • Graduated from MYP

    Graduated from MYP
This event marked the day I completed my 10th year of school. It was also a day that warned us of the hard work that was to come in the following years in the DP program. It was significant as it felt like I reached a new milestone in my life. My parents were very proud of me and I felt accomplished and proud. This changed was very worrysome as I headed multiple warnings of how difficult year 11 and 12 was.
