  • Germinal Period

    One cell Zygote duplicates and multiplies during this period. About a week after conception the cell mass is now called a blastocyst and is implanted into the uterus.

  • Embryonic period

    3 weeks after conception the cell mass is still not recongized as human but is given the new name embryo.

  • Fetal period

    9 weeks after conception till birth is considered the fetal period. The organism is now called a fetus. The 23rd chromosome was XY and the SRY gene created the development of the male sexual organs. This all happens during the 3rd month. Towards the end of the third month the sex organs may be visible through ultrasound. During the 4th,5th, and 6th month the heartbeat becomes stronger the digestive system develops as well as fingernails, toenails, buds for teeth, and hair begins to grow

  • Birth

    I was born in Southfield, MI at Providence Hospital at 2:01am after 48 hours of labor. I weighed 7lbs 11 ounces and was 20 3/4" in lenth.

  • First Smile

    My first smile was at about 6 weeks old.

  • First laugh

    My first laughter occurred about 8 weeks after birth.

  • Began to Crawl

    Started to scoot but quickly became able to crawl. My gross motor skills developed early on.

  • Babbling began

    I was quite the babbler according to my Mom.

  • Began to walk

    I started to take my first steps earlier then most. My gross motor skills were developing fast. According to my Mom I was walking by 9 months of age.

  • My first words

    My first words were "mama and dada" according to my mom. She indicated that I began to develope words shortly after learning to walk.

  • First birthday

    I was walking by this time. Notes from my baby book said I enjoyed my birthday cake, opening presents. My favortie toys at this time were my rocking horse, my dog, and cars.

  • First sentances

    At about 15 months I started to speak in two word sentances.

  • Attachment

    I had a very secure attachment to both of my parents. As they both actively participated in my care giving.

  • Sleeping more regular

    I begin to sleep through the night more frequently around 2 years of age. I also napped during the day.

  • Right hand dominate

    By two years of age I was right hand dominate.

  • Went to Preschool

    I began preschool at age 3.

  • First friend

    My first friend was made in preschool.

  • Started to play baseball

    I started to play my first team sport at the age of 4.

  • Began to ride my bike without training wheels

  • Read first book

  • First day of kindergarten

    I began half day kindergarten at age 5.

  • First tooth loss

  • Began first grade

  • Started to play Hockey

    Started my second team sport.

  • Learned to tell time

  • First fight

  • Learned Multiplication and division.

  • First girlfriend

  • Had major growth spurt, grew almost 6 inches over the course of a couple months.

  • 1st in school suspension for insubordination

  • Got my drivers license and first car on my 16th birthday

  • First time use of recreational drug

  • Stopped growing, reached maximum height of 6' 1"

  • Decided to go to college, after I thought it wasn't for me.

  • 21st Birthday

  • Got engaged and moved to Texas for a new job

  • Got Married to my wife Michelle in Las Vegas

  • Moved back to Michigan for a new job

  • Was fitted for my first pair of corrective lenses

  • Decided to go back to school to finish my bachelors degree
