A catalog is a periodic publication that features advertisements on various subjects. Unlike newspapers, catalogs offers products in which you can place orders. My very first catalog is about AVON products. I was really exposed to AVON catalogs because my aunt works as a middleman for the company. I was also 4 years old at the time. -
Magazine
A magazine is a periodic publication that features articles, photographs, and advertisements on various subjects. It often delve into in-depth content. I was 5 years old when I first read my first magazine. It was a YES! magazine about Philippine actors and actresses. I always found magazines boring since I am not a fan of the show business. -
Radio
Radio is a wireless communication medium that transmits audio signals using electromagnetic waves. It serves as a versatile platform for broadcasting music, news, talk shows, and other content. I am exposed to broadcast media when I was 6 years old. I used to listen to radio in my grandmother's house since we do not own one yet. I am a fan of music and funny talk shows when I was young. -
Television
Television is a visual and audio communication medium that broadcasts programs to a wide audience using electromagnetic signals. Right after my exposure to radio, my grandfather (father's side) gave us a CRT Television. Though heavy and bulky, It was my favorite type of media especially when I was young. It really fueled my childhood with the cartoons that aired daily. -
Keypad Cellphone
A keypad cellphone is a mobile device featuring a physical numeric or alphanumeric keypad for inputting numbers, letters, or characters. I first had my keypad phone when I was 7. My mother bought it for me so I could contact her whenever I was at school. It was really fun for me since I could send text messages and receive and make calls. -
Smart Phone
A smartphone is a handheld electronic device that combines mobile communication capabilities with advanced computing features. My first smart phone was given to me by my father. Since he works at a service center for electronics, he often brings home devices that is not claimed by their owners. -
Internet
The internet is a global network of interconnected computers, enabling the exchange of information and communication through various online services. Shortly after receiving my smartphone, my family ended up inquiring for Globe Wifi. With this, I was easily able to connect with my friends and family, and browse the web at the same time. It was also helpful in my studies -
Library
A library is a facility or institution housing a collection of books, periodicals, and other resources for public use or reference. I went to my first library when I was in grade 7. This is because my elementary school does have a school library. I was underwhelming for me since most of the information can already be accessed with the Internet.
