Later in the battle after he was declared dead, Sheaffe later arrived and fought the battle to a victorious conclusion and britain won this battle.

America won this battle, the main reason all these battles were declared was for land gaining and freedom. The whole war itself reflected on that. The battle of York resulted in a big explosion and killed 38 america soliders and wounded 22. With an American victory.

Then on 10 September 1813, the Americans won the decisive naval Battle of Lake Erie, which allowed britain to recover for the detroit battle and won that battle and stuck securley onto this land and claimed the land and the battle of Battle of Mackinac Island.
