    The Plebeians and the beginning

    The very beginning when it all started, Rome took out the Equestrians who ruled before. Then made rules and laws to follow creating the empire. Then classes came through where there were different class levels. The plebeians were at the bottom and wanted more power which they got after fighting for it for 140 years.

  • 389 BCE

    The Latin League

    The first expansion process which they would go against hill tribes nearby gaining power and more land. They took out the Etruscans who had once ruled over them. Then were taken out by a band of Celts as they were thinking of even further expansion.
  • 264 BCE

    The First Punic War

    Carthage was the first greatest rival against Rome, they saw Rome was expanding fast and were threatened so they started a war which they ended up losing.
  • 218 BCE

    Second Punic War

    Hannibal a general of Carthage attacked Rome's allies and then Rome itself causing a very large war which would last for 16 years.
  • 140 BCE

    Greece

    Greece was taken over after Greece raised suspicions of attacking Rome. So Rome took the first move and attacked Greece taking it over easily. Now Rome had ruled over lots of territory beside Egypt.
  • 70 BCE

    Julius Ceasar

    He began to replace the republic with an empire as he would gain power. He was loyal to no one and trusted no one seeing the history of people being assassinated before him causing the brake up of Rome and wars.
  • 43 BCE

    Triumvirate

    This is where Mark Anthony, Octavius, and another general all formed together and took out the final republic follow Caesars death.

    this helped many people and especially the roman empire as they would grow in each of their separate ways with different leaders.
