The Life of Rylee Gaus

  • I was Born

    Rylee Gaus was born to Rhonda and David Gaus in Jacksonville, Florida.
  • I moved.

    I moved from Jacksonville, Florida to Mooresville, North Carolina when I was six months old.
  • My sister was born.

    Megan Gaus was born to Rhonda and David Gaus.
  • I got Bella

    I got my dog Bella who has been there with me through everything in my life.
  • My First Time Playing Soccer

    This was the first time that I ever played the sport that I love.
  • My brother signed up for the Navy

    My brother decided to sign up for the navy when he was 17 years old and when I was 4.
  • Savannah Rae Weldon was born

    My niece(brothers daughter) was born and she is very important to me.
  • The first black president was elected.

    My dad has a strong political opinion when it comes to the United States and it shaped me into a more open minded person because I didn't want to be like my dad.
  • My parents were divorced.

    My mom and dad divorced when I was in fourth grade which effected me a lot. There was a lot of fighting and I vowed then that I wouldn't let any of my relationships fail in the same way.
  • I got Neeko

    Neeko is my other dog who is really special to me too.
  • I chose to enroll in the IB school

    I chose to enter a program that would determine the rest of my middle and high school career and that could influence my college acceptance.
  • Taylor Fay Weldon was born.

    This is my other niece(brothers daughter) that was born and she is very important to me as well.
  • First Heartbreak

    I had to break up with someone I really liked because he was trying to pressure me into things. It was the first time I really stood up for myself and what I believed in.
  • Graduating from middle school

    I graduated from the middle school IB program which was a big accomplishment and showed me how worth it, it is to finish something all the way through.
  • First Kiss

    I kissed Connor Matas and it was absolutely terrible.
  • I got baptized

    I was able to fully accept God into my life with my dad along side my side.
  • My First Job

    I got a job working with my mom at an Italian restaurant in Cornelius.
  • My dad had a heart attack

    My dad had a heart attack that almost killed him and at the time we weren't speaking to each other. It helped my repair my relationship with my dad and live my life to the fullest.
  • I made the SIHS girls soccer team.

    I convinced myself to try out since I was too scared my freshman year and I made the team.
  • I got my license

    I got my restricted license which was my first taste of freedom and responsibility.
