I was the first child in my family so I was very attached. I always cried wanting to be held.

I was very picky as an infant and would not drink formula, so the doctor told my mother to start giving me cows milk early.

Was very shy in school and around other children my first year of school. I was the first grandchild on both sides of my family, so there was not always children around.

It was a challenge at first to learn a second language because my parents did not speak Arabic at home

I had no idea of what I wanted to do with my future.

Still living at home and am supported by my parents. I have a job to pay for my personal spending.

Realized that my best friend and I from middle school were very different people. She started partying and drinking, while I was still innocent and shy as a 9th grader.

During high school we tend to lose track about what is important in life. We focus more on friends and fitting in than what really matters.

Felt like I had gained a little weight and was feeling unhappy and sluggish. Decided to change my lifestyle and become more active.

Finally knew that I wanted to study nutrition. I transferred to Wayne State to major in nutrition and apply to their dietetics program.

Joined the Arab Student Union at Wayne State in hopes of connecting with more Middle Eastern Americans like myself.

I am only 21 years old, so I have not really experienced anything in adulthood yet. I will look into the future and say that I expect to still care about my appearance in the future, whether nutrition or cosmetic. I plan to stay fit and active.

I am only 21 years old, so I have not really experienced anything in adulthood yet. I will look to the future and say that I expect to keep my brain sharp. I plan on becoming a clinical dietician, so I will need to use my brain daily for my job.

I am only 21 years old, so I have not really experienced anything in adulthood yet. Looking toward the future, I really hope that I end up being happily married to the love of my life and starting a future with him. I also hope to keep a close relationship with my parents and sisters.

When I reach late adulthood, I hope to still be active and be young at heart.

I hope to retire at a decent age and take vacations with my future husband. I also want to participate in volunteer work after retirement in order to give back.

We do not know when death will strike, but in a perfect world I think I will live into my late 80s because I am pretty active and do not have any health issues as of now.
