Desirae (me) was born
Desirae Leanne Meyer was born on December 19, 1996. Weighing 9 pounds, 0 ounces. My family lived in North Carolina at this time. My dad was stationed here for the Marines. -
Learned to walk
In 1997 at about 4 and a half moths old, I learned how to walk. My parents had to chase me around but not too much. I was usually where ever my older brother was. -
Lived in California
In 1998, my family and I lived in California. We lived there because my dad was in the Marines and that was where he was stationed. -
Little sister was born (Korynn)
In February of 1999, my little sister Korynn was born. She was the last kid my dad and mom had together. We still lived in California at this time. -
Moved to Michigan
In the summer of 2000, my family and I packed up our things and moved to Michigan. My dad was not in the Marines anymore. We lived in Dorr and Wayland. -
Mom and dad got divorced
In 2001, my parent separated and that was the start of a long and depressing divorce that took a toll on everyone involved. -
Dad and step mom moved in together
Shortly after my mom and dad separated, my dad moved in with my stepmom. This impacted me because I didn't get to see my dad as much as I was used to. -
Celebrated the fourth of July with my mom
My mom, sister, brother, aunts, uncles, granparents and cousins all celebrated the fourth of July together. This was especially fun because I rarely ever got to see my family. So seeing them on the fourth of July made my day that much better. -
Moved to Monroe, Michigan
In the summer of 2004, my mom decided to move closer to her family. So we moved to Monroe. At first we lived with my aunt but then we moved into an apartment. -
Got my first phone
In the summer of 2005, my mom decided that I was responsible enough to have my own cell phone. Although I couldn't text yet, I could call people and I was super excited about that. -
Little sister was born (Isabella)
On April 4, 2006 my baby sister Isabella was born. She was the last kid my mom ever had. Isabella is my half-sister. She brought the family together and was the best thing that happened to our family in a while. -
Bad decisions on Halloween
This was the first year that my mom let me be whatever I wanted to be for halloween and I decided to be a bunny. I froze my butt off because my mom let me pick out how i wanted to make the costume and it wasnt very warm. I ended up going home about an hour after we started. -
Got my first dog
In 2010, at my dads house, we got a Jack Russell Terrier. My stepmom named him Tater. He followed me around everywhere and slept with me at night. He still does. -
Went to my first concert
My dad let me go to my first concert on February 18, 2011. I got to go to an Escape the Fate concert with my brother and uncle while my dad worked security at the same concert. This was the first time I got to crowd surf too which was pretty cool. -
The worst birthday ever
My 16th birthday was the all time worst birthday ever because first, my dad forgot my birthday, next, nobody came to my party so it ended up just being me and my dog chilling in my bedroom listening to music. -
Met my best friend Hanna
In 2013, I met my best friend Hanna. We met because my friend Tate was dating Hanna at the time and they invited me to hang out with them. I did and I am very glad that I did. Hanna is now my best friend. We are inseparable now.
