Pachacuti Inca Yupanqui becomes the leader of the Inca and he begins to conquer nearby tribes and expand the control of the Inca Empire. He also reorganized the government and he built the city of Machu Picchu.

Huayna Capac became emperor and that is when the Inca Empire was at its peak.

What started the decline of the Inca empire was, Emperor Huayna Capac dies from a plague brought by the Spanish conquistadors. And a large portion of the Inca population will die from smallpox and other diseases over the next several years. Next, the empty throne started a civil war between Atahualpa and Huascar for who gets the throne.

In this time range, Atahualpa defeats Huascar and becomes the emperor, but at the same time, the Fransisco Pizarro and his Spanish conquistadors arrive and capture Atahualpa. And eventually, the Spanish kill all the Inca emperors, signalling the end of the Inca Empire.
