    France was close to bankruptcy partly from the Seven Years War and also from the Revolutionary War. king Louis was called upon to discuss a new tax plan.
  • Creation of the Third Estate

    The Third Estate was created and proclaims itself as the "National Assembly"
  • Constituent National Assembly

    The National aseembly deems itself with the title "Constituent" and appoints a comitee of 30 Members to create a draft constitution with teh authority and power to make laws. The also create a citizen's militia and a standing comitee.
  • Storm the Bastille!

    The storming and fall of the Bastille.
  • The End of feudalism

    The end of feudalism and serfdom in France was announced by the National Assembly.
  • Declaration of Rights

    The Declaration of the Rights of Man was issued by The National Assembly
  • The women of Paris invade Versailles

    The women take charge and march upon Versailles and force the royal family back to Paris. Louis XVI is considered by many a "Prisoner" in Paris.

    A National Draft was issued calling for all able-bodied men to enlist in the army.

    The Reign of Terror court sentenced 20,000 to 40,000 people to death.
