It was felt that Kind Louis still being alive held a sort of 'hope' that one day he could be in power again, when he tried to escape from France people felt he was betraying France. Eventually he was put on trial for treason and determined to be executed.

He had quickly rose in power in the Committee of public safety, many called him a tyrant. He believes in many things such as religious tolerance and getting rid of slavery, and he was all for executing people. This fact was obvious from the 'Reign of Terror' where loads of people were executed.

Robespierre was getting to the point of insanity, having thousands of people executed. Eventually he was arrested and executed quickly after that.

Napoleon was young when he led a French army to victory and was quickly gaining the support of French civilians and was named emperor.

Napoleon's luck was running out and it appeared that nothing was going his way. He led an army in the battle of Waterloo and was defeated.
