Maximilien Robespierre assumes leadership of the Committe of Public Safety
Robespierre was influenced by 18th century Enlightenment. He dominated the Committe of Public Safety and was instrumental during the reign of terror.
Louis XVI wanted to raise taxes but needed to get permission for the estates general. They had a meeting in courtyard in the town of Versailles.
Third estate declares itself the National Assembly
During a meeting of the estates the third estate was granted double representation. Later they were informed that voting by the estates general was not allowed.
Storming of the Bastille
Bastilles prisiones were raided and everyone was killed because franced faced major economic issues. The storming of the Bastille was the third event opening the revolution.

Louis XVI executed
Louis was arrested and in the temple prision with his family. His excution made him the first victim of the region of terror.
Robespierre is guillotined
It was a time of terror and Robespierre was too vocal and people didnt agree with him. He was aressted and then excuted, Robesierre was no longer the leader of the Reign of Terror.
Napoleon bonaparte seizes power
The coup of 18 Brumaire gave all power to Napoleon Bonaparte and that ended the French Revolution. Napoleon legitimized his position by creating the Constitution of the Year.
Napoleon is defeated by the British at the Battle of Waterloo
When Napoleon returned to power in 1815 not many people liked him and created mobilise armies. They planned to attack him but Napoleon kept putting of his soldiers. Finally they had a war and Napoleon lost.
