    The estates met a Versailles on May 5th 1789,this was the first meeting since 1614.King louis set up this meeting so that he could come to a conclusion on his finicial problems that he was having.

    The creation of the national assembly was made, because of the refusal of the first two estates to make a more fair method of voting.The national assembly consisted primarly members of the third estate but also had members of the first estate who agreed that an equal vote was fair.

    Angry demonstrators launmched the french revolution by rioting an imprisoned fort were all of the enimies stayed.The reason why they had rioted the fort was beucase they saw it as a symbol of deposiotion.So the outcome of this rioting was the start of the french revolution.

    Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen
    The states were brought up with the free natural rights, life liberty and property.The declartion expressed the liberal and universal goal of the enlightment.The outcome of the declaration being approved was that it ended the ancient regime in france old society.

    During Louis XVI term as king the economy spiraled downward and crops were failing. The citizen were not happy with this at all.He was condemed to dceath by the natonal convention.He was put into prison but escaped somehow, later he got caught agian and so finally they chopped his head off using the guillotine.

    Reign of Terror
    The Reign of Terror began when Robespierre declared terror the order of the day.The significance for this is that it repressed enimies of the revolution.
  • Coup d'etat

    Coup d'etat
    This was a governmental power by a relatively small but very organized group of political or military leaders.The significance of the coup was to help countries that had weak government and were in danger because the civilians were not in control and had alot of resistence agianst the government.
  • Creation of the National Convention

    Creation of the National Convention
    This was a replacement of the 1990 elected general assembly, that transformed from a legislative body to a constitutional writing.The convention went through a lot of criticisism because it had undemocratic proceedings.The significance to the convention was to have a disciplined democratic system.
