In 2nd grade I was told I was writing cursive wrong, though the final product was exactly how the teacher wanted it.

First memory of using computers in school. Going to the computer lab to use the old Apple green screen computers to play Oregon Trail.

Good old AOL dial up internet! When you only had certain minutes to use online.

My parents would get mad at me because I was online a lot and it tied up the phone line. My mom works as a nurse and would get phone calls for a shift change, but I would be blocking the line.

Freshman year my parents made me use one of my electives to take a typing class in high school. I wasn't happy with it, but looking back, I'm happy they did.

Realized that in every country their keyboard layouts are different because of language. I still reach for keys differently than was trained because of that time in Germany.

I created my first social networking account through Myspace to stay in touch with all my friends I met in my year abroad in England.

I created a Facebook account because all of my friends were switching over to Facebook from Myspace.

First started to work with Powerpoint because of the credential program. I now use it all the time.

I got my first smart phone. I actually tried to hold out as long as I could. My resident teacher was telling me about all the benifits for teaching that a smart phone has, so I switched over.
