The Sony Walkman was made in 1979. I won a walkman when I graduated from high school. I have never had one because I couldn't afford one.

I remember watching the IBM comercial for personal computers on the TV. They started to appear in my school, and my Father had one that I could use to type up papers. I got a cast off computer from him when I started college

The internet first came out in 1990. I remember my first year of teaching that the media center had the internet.

Also my first year of teaching, I remember 2 students sitting next to each other and having a conversation over the internet through email. Just talk to each other (Nothing has changed).

My husband gets a GPS so he can go geocashing and predict how long it would take to travel to Arizona to visit my parents.
