Technology and Me

  • My birthday

  • Received my first computer

My first computer was a basic desktop, and really only existed for the purpose of teaching me through educational games and offering my mother some time to sleep without being disturbed. My desktop was upgraded continuously over the years, and was never considered a "stock" computer.
  • Received my first cellphone

My first cellphone was a so-called "candybar" phone that felt more like a brick. It was only for necessary calls to my parents, and I kept it off in my bookbag as a result. It was my phone throughout middle school, and had absolutly no additional functions.
  • New cellphone

    New cellphone
This phone was not much of an upgrade from my previous phone. It did look cooler though.
  • My first MP3

    My first MP3
My first mp3 player held 512 MB of songs, and had a built in radio and microphone. It ran off a single AAA battery, and was pretty simple to use.
  • Upgraded to a Microsoft Zune mp3 player

Upgraded to a Microsoft Zune mp3 player
I got a Zune after getting sick of the battery life on my older mp3 player. Although I could have just bought new batteries, I wanted an upgrade from the standard. I stoll use it to this day.

    New cellphone
I upgraded my cellphone to a Nokia flip-phone, which never gave me any problems. It served me well for 3 and a half years when everyone else was using the IPhone and similar smartphones.
  • Death of a good friend

This was the fateful day where I dropped my beloved Nokia. Although it survived much more than this simple drop before, it finally broke apart at the hinge. After picking up all the parts I could find, I reassembled it and booted it up again. It still worked, but in order to use it, i had to cradle it to keep the hinge from coming off its single working part.
  • Another new cellphone

    Another new cellphone
I finally replaced my broken friend with another phone. This time, it was an LG Prime. Although its not a smartphone, it has plenty of features I enjoy, especially the built in music player, although it does refuse to add the majority of my songs.
  • My first and only laptop

    My first and only laptop
I got a laptop for college, with the requirements that it is also capable of high-end gaming when necessary. I got a Lenovo Ideapad Y570, which had a serious error with the harddrive. After sending it back, I got it replaced a month later, just in time to go to school.
