Windows 95 Computer
My first memory of technology is playing educational games that helped to strengthen my reading and math skills. Luckily they were as fun as they were informative! -
Television and VCR
I also remember watching Disney films and other VHS tapes on the small television in my room. This was always for fun. -
Nintendo 64
Christmas 1998 was an unforgettable one as I received my first video game console, the Nintendo 64, which funny enough, I still own now. The graphics were a step up from the previous Super Nintendo model with 3D capabilities. The system included games like Super Mario 64, Mario Kart, and Pokemon Snap all of which are still revered in the video game community.

Computer Courses and the PC for learning

Myspace
Summer 2005 I joined my first social media platform of Myspace. This was my first time being apart of an online community where I could share pictures, blogs, and engage in beginner coding to change my layout, add additional people to my top 8, and of course leave interactive comments under my friends' pictures. -
First Cellphone
My first cellphone was a flip phone. It had a few games and I was able to send text messages to friends and family. Of course, I had to talk on the phone after 9pm because that is when the minutes were free! -
First Personal Laptop
Before venturing off to UCF, I received my first personal laptop to help me complete school assignments, which were mostly completed in Microsoft Office. I also used this laptop for social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter to keep in touch with friends and family. -
UCF Mall
This was my first blended learning experience. I attended F2F lectures for various math courses and then completed assignments in the MALL or at home on my laptop. -
My UCF and Webcourses
I used my laptop and library computers to access the My UCF and Webcourses platform, which I used for learning and connecting with my teachers and other students. My first time taking an exclusively online course was Summer 2004 (Sleep and Dreams & Cross-Cultural Psychology). -
Kindle Reader
I used my kindle to buy E-textbooks to use for classes and also books to read for recreation. -

I purchased this Apple phone, which I had for 4 years. I downloaded many apps that helped me manage my day to day activities, I stayed in communication with friends and family, and I took many pictures for my travel blog. -
Online ESL
I began teaching ESL online for two different companies. One company uses its own app and the other uses flash. Both companies use videoconferencing and other multimedia tools to create a virtual classroom. -
Smartphone Reloaded
Today, I use my smartphone to access most things. I continue to use apps that help me stay productive. I travel often so I use my smartphone to video chat with my family at home and abroad. I can read, watch Netflix, and check in on my assignments and readings for graduate school.
