  • Death of Both of My Grandfathers

The passing of both of my grandfathers within months of each other, with my mother's father passing days after Christmas, paralleled materialism with idealism at a young age for me, making me appreciate my family and what life has to offer.
  • eCYBERMISSION 2nd Place in Ohio

Changed my outlook on competitions, both ones that require entry as well as the competition that is life, showing me that it's possible to reach the top.
  • Met My Band Director, Mr. Harbart

Taught me to explore outside of my comfort zone, and that there's more to life than engineering.
  • High School Swim Team

Taught me how to push myself, make a schedule and keep to it, and what my limits are in terms of time.
  • Finalist at FTC Ohio State Championships

First large title related to my engineering work outside of school that I ever obtained.
  • Internship at Rockwell Automation

Gave me exposure to my first corporate setting, and truly taught me for the first time that everything you learn in the classroom, and sometimes your entire degree, is not always what you use in your job after graduation.
  • Met My Current Boss, Bryce Zoccola

Showed me that there's more to the automation industry than a job in an office, and that it's okay to take risks with your career.
  • FEH Robot Competition

Taught me determination, time management, and persistence.
