I plan to help my parents pay for my college tuition at San Diego State University

I want to contribute atleast $4,000 towards my college tuition which costs $32,000 a year.

I plan to continue to work and when I get my check every two weeks, I will only keep $50 for entertainment and food instead of the usual $100 that I take out.

The opportunity cost is that I will have $50 less of pocket change every two weeks. I will have to buy less food and only buy items that are necessary instead of items I want. I will have to spend less when with friends because that is when I most commonly spend money.

I will continue working and help to achieve this goal after my senior year of high school until it comes time for me to pay tuition.
