    Marriage
On this day, my parents got married and because of where they lived and the traditions they followed, it was an arranged marriage. My mum had met my dad maybe twice before they actually got married. At the time my mom was 19 and my dad was 26. One of the main reasons my grandparents wanted my mother to marry my dad was because my dad had promised to take my mum to Canada Because of the iving conditions in Kabul, Afghanistan, my mums parents thought she'd be better off in Canada.

On this date, my mum and dad immigrated to Canada, two months after getting married. After their marriage they spent two months traveling throughout India before finally deciding it was time to come to Canada. My parents, when they lived in Afghanistan were nevr treated right, becayse they weren't of Muslim religion and once they went to India they also weren't welcome because we aren't straight Hindus. With my parents, my dad's side of the family came a while after they did.
  • First Baby

On this day, my mum had her first baby. It was a boy and his name was Jason. My parents were so happy, and filled with joy. However unfortunately, after 18 months, he stopped breathing in the middle of the night. It was inevitable however a lot of family blamed my mum for absolutely no reason.

My mum had her second baby soon after and named her Tanya. Because of the previous accident, everyone called Tanya the 'first baby' which really rubbed my mum in the wrong way.

After having three girls, my mum finally got what she had wanted for so long, a baby boy! He was a complete supreme because she got pregnant nine years after she had me. I wasn't too happy when I found out she was pregnant, but that may have been because I would no longer be the youngest, most loved.

My mum used to be an aesthetician, and so she wanted more in her life, so she decided to study medical office administration. She was is still is the only one of her siblings, and my dad's siblings to have graduated from college or university.

    Mom graduated
After her three year program, my mum finally graduated with the support from my family. The three years she was at school, my dad's side of the family had no idea because in the past they'd always tried to hold my mum down, and stopped her from succeeding. She now works in a medical clinic, happy with what she's doing.
  • Dad started college

    Dad started college
After having supported my mum for three years, my dad decided this year to get out of the restaurant business, he currently owned three, and instead go to school for real estate. Because of where my dad is from, he wasn't able to finish highschool and so he took a test making him eligible to become a student and now he is in school, every sunday.
