    Tennis Court Oath
    When the Third Estate got locked out of the meeting of the Estates General they signed the Tennis Court Oath creating the National Assembly and swore to keep meeting until a constitution was written
  • Storming the Bastille

    Storming the Bastille
    A bloodthirsty mob marched on the Bastille looking for gun power and prisoners that the king had put in there. This was a great victory for the people of Paris and gave the people confidence.
  • Declaration of the Rights of Man

    Declaration of the Rights of Man
    The National Assembly siezed power for themselves and the people. Also it took power away from the monarchs.
  • March of Versailles

    March of Versailles
    Around 6,000 angry, hungry women all marched down to Versailles to get bread and lower the prices of bread.
  • Attacks on the Prisons

    Attacks on the Prisons
    People thought the counterrevolutionaries would aid the invading Prussian so they broke into the prisons and brutally murdered everyone, even mothers and their boys. The revolutionaries took it farther to the extreme because they were paranoid.

    King Louis was convicted of high treason and crimes against the state. He was later proven guilty and was executed by the national razor.

    This was the period of mass executions, mostly by the guillotine (National Razor). Anyone who was sucspected to against the revolution or even wasn't happy enought about the revolution would be executed.
  • Robespierre's Death

    Robespierre's Death
    Robespierre was killed by the same weapon that he used to execute so thousands of people. The death of Robespierre ended the Reign of Terror in Paris.
