    On July 18th of 64 CE a fire started near the Circus Maximus. This lasted 6 days. The fire started because many of the Roman buildings were poorly built. The event of this fire destroyed around 60,000 buildings and left 6 people dead. At the time of the fire Nero was the emperor and many blamed him for this catastrophic event.
