I was around 10 or 11 months when I started to say my first words. I don't recall this but it is significant and important when you start to speak.

Around 3 to 4 years old, my parents were teaching me how to read and how to slowly process words orally.

Around 1st grade, there was a bring your book to school day in which you could bring your favorite book to school and you were able to read it after you came back from lunch during class. It was exciting to be able to read something I loved during class.

From 3rd grade until 5th grade, we had a program called Accelerated Reader. What it entailed was that we were given a long list of books from our teachers and from that list, we would choose one to take home and read and from there, we would take a test once we were done with the book online to see if we completely understood and comprehended what we had read. Through that, there was a competition between not only the students of the grades but the grades themselves to see who understood more.

Around 4th grade, I was accepted into the G/T program at school. My teacher noticed that in my classes and through a lot of my work specifically English, Math and Reading, I was finishing the work very early and efficiency and felt that I wasn't being pushed hard enough and felt that through the G/T program, I could be pushed more and use my abilities to the utmost.

In 5th grade, we had to write a research paper and create some sort of a creative presentation based on a lesser known famous person of our choosing. We had to give a brief explanation or telling of who we researched, what they are famous for, their biggest accomplishments in their field and then the actual presentation or thing we had to show the person we researched. I did Ben Carson and more my presentation, my dad and I created a puppet of him that I was able to control for the class.

In 7th grade, a new class called Intro to Technology was created in school that allowed students to learn how to fully type correctly among other computer processes. I knew how to use a computer keyboard before hand but this enhanced my skills with that.

My junior year of high school, all of the juniors had to participate in college and job interviews through the guidance office. We had to learn how to write resumes correctly, speak and portray ourselves in a professional manner that would persuade someone enough to have us get the job or attend the college that we would like to.

Through my junior and senior year of high school, I was on the Speech and Debate Team and learn quickly and more effectively to form and develop arguments and discussions on certain opinions given with other individuals using information gathered as well as personal information. Through Speech & Debate, I honed my skills and through that I was able to win multiple awards.

In my senior year of college for one of my final classes, I had to write up a 10 - 15 page thesis paper as well as come up with a hour and 15 minute lesson plan for my class that included all of the information that was covered through the section that we were given at the beginning of the semester using all of the information that we had written and collected as well as information through our textbook as well as lectures given to review.
