The way you read a book or a text depends on the purpose you have. So clear your mind and think why do you want to read!! -
Get background information.
Find something out about the topic you have to read. The more you know about the topic and the author, the better your understanding will be. -
Use a dictionary!!
It is okay to use a dictionary to increase your vocabulary. Just don´t use it ALL the times. Remember you can know what the meaning of a word is by analyzing the context. -
Choose the right place to read!
Look for a place with no distractions! Try to find somewhere quiet and peaceful to let your brain enjoy! -
If you don't like it, STOP!!
If you start reading for pelasure and the first pages don´t catch your attention, STOP..don´t waste your time reading something you ain´t going to love!
