    After the Soninke banded together they formed what is now known as Ghana. They gradually grew I strength. They were famous for there gold and salt. They used a process called silent bartering were people exchange goods without direct contact.

    After Muhammad death they appointed one of Muhammad first converts which was Abu Bakr. He had a title called caliph which meant highest leader of Islam. He led a series of battles to unite Arabia. After his death he had finished his goal.

    According to a legend Cai Lun invented paper which led on to the invention of woodblock printing. It is a form of printing in which an entire page is carved into a block of wood. The first known print book was by using this method.

    They believed that faith of good behavior led to wisdom. They believed that they should have self discipline, meditation, and quiet thinking. These ideas sparked a lot of Japanese warriors.
