    Ottoman Empire
    The Ottoman Empire began with their leader Othman. However, it kept growing and conquering land over the years. The ottoman’s eventually conquered the Holy City. A man named Suleyman created the empire’s government structures. The empire had everything from taxes to a government bureaucracy. In addition, he created the Devshirme System that drafted boys to help conquer land. At its peak, the Ottoman Empire had an area of about 7.6 million square miles.

    Ming Dynasty
    The Ming Dynasty,ruled by the native chinese Hans, was the last dynasty of China. Its capital city was bejing, and it survived for 276 years.

    Triple Alliance

    Triple Alliance
    In the year 1428 the Triple Alliance united three city states called Texcoco, Tlacopan, and Tenochtitlán. There were between 200,000 and 400,000 people living in the city at the time. These people were called the Aztecs. The Aztecs were a very powerful nation. They had about 80,000 square miles of land in their empire. They had social classes, a government, and technological innovations like raised roads.

    In 1488 Portugese ships were looking to trade with India, but they came across Southern Africa instead. Then the Portugese saw that the Africans were making a lot of money off of their land, so they decided to try to conquer some land. In addition, they ended up conquering lots of land and building valuable ports for trading.

    The Industrial revolution was the growth of Industrializan that began in Britain in the mid 1700's. The increased production of goods led to the increase of population, new cities, more efficient ways of farming and improvement of transportation. The new technology developed in Britain at the time played a huge role in the industrialization of the rest of Europe and the Americas.

    The American Revolution was the war in which the thirteen North American Colonies ruled by britain rebelled, broke off from the British Empire, and gained their Independence. The American Revolution served as an inspiration for other political movements such as the French revolution, and led to the establishment of the United States of America.

    The French revolution was the social and political revolution that took place in France from 1789-1799. The French revolution played a big part in the overthrow of the french monarchy. After the monarchy was overthrown, radical republican groups took control of the government, which drastically altered the french political system.
  • Haitian Revolution

    Haitian Revolution
    San Dominique population had a majority of slaves. The white masters used used brutal methods to terrorize their slaves. In August 1791, 100,000 enslaved Africans revolted. The revolution was led by Toussaint L’Ouverture. They burned hundreds of plantations, took over the whole island, and freed any enslaved people. However, the Haitians ignored this and declared freedom on January 1, 1804.

    The Napoleonic Empire, also known as the First French Empire, was the empire ruled by Napoleon Bonaparte of Corsica. Napoleon was a strong military general and a huge supporter of the French Revolution. The Napoleonic empire ruled over the majority of Europe in the early 19th century, and was extremely powerful.
  • Indian Independence War

    Indian Independence War
    The main reason that Britain was ruling India was for money from trading. But then the British started being unfair and racist to the Indians. This caused the Swadeshi movement when Indian people only bought things made in India. Indians felt as if they did not have enough political power, so the Muslim league was created. However, the English continued to be inconsiderate so there was war. On February 20, 1947, England decided to transfer power back to the Indians.
