Personal Timeline for AM DLU

  • First Photo of a Black Hole

First Photo of a Black Hole
The first photo of a black hole was important to me, because it was huge to the science world, and I enjoy space and science a lot. Not only that, but the photo was taken by a woman, which is also a step closer towards equal rights.
  • Notre Dame Burns Down

    Notre Dame Burns Down
Seeing the photos of Notre Dame was heartbreaking. I’ve always dreamed of going to France and seeing the cathedral, and even though I know it wasn’t all destroyed, the fire masking over it made me feel melancholy.
  • U.S. Women's Soccer

    U.S. Women's Soccer
I’m not usually into sports of any kind, but I do enjoy watching women’s soccer sometimes. I look up to the people on our team, they are truly one of a kind, and so bold and amazing. The fact that the U.S. won was so uplifting for me and I hope the best for the team.
  • The Start of Seventh Grade

    The Start of Seventh Grade
The start of seventh grade was important to me, because it was the start of something new. That feeling was like no other, because I knew I had a long way to go this year, but it would be really fun making new friends. I thought I would stick to the stuff I know, but it was very cool discovering more about me.
  • The Amazon Stops Burning

    The Amazon Stops Burning
In 2019 I remember hearing a lot about the Amazon burning down. It was really terrible for me because animals and the environment mean so much to me, and I wish there was more people would do to help.
  • Halloweeen

Halloween is my favorite Holiday, so naturally this would be a very important event for me every year. I had the best time trick or treating with my friends and I hope to never lose that kind of friendship with them.
  • Dear Edwina Jr.

    Dear Edwina Jr.
I remember the day I was casted as Edwina, my friend texted me congratulations on getting the part, before I checked the cast list. But I didn’t mind, and when I saw it I was so excited. It really meant so much to be casted as the lead, something I thought I could never do and I will always remember all the wonderful times I spent with my fellow cast mates.
  • My Birthday

    My Birthday
My birthday was one of the best. I had a birthday party at my house with all my friends from theater, and it was one of the best times I could imagine. We played so many games and just hung out some of the time, but it was really very fun.
  • Brexit

    Brexit
Brexit was hard to watch, and I wish it was not happening because it really can mess up Europe’s economy system. It is important to me because I am part British, and while I understand that isn’t the most special thing in the world, I’d like to see what is going on with the country.
  • Black History Month

Last year I participated in a Black History Month art competition at a library I go to, where we would draw, sketch, paint, etc. of a black person in history and how they affected the world. I didn’t get first place, but it was fun learning about Mary Seacole and painting her. This year I decided to do the same thing, and I did it with Oprah Winfrey since that’s who I did my project on. I think I’ll make it a tradition, and with women’s history month too.
